Sasha Novis
Sasha Novis (she/her/ella) joined the Law Offices of Stacy Tolchin as a Staff Attorney in September of 2021. Before joining LOST, Ms. Novis was a UC President’s Public Interest Fellow and Staff Attorney at Al Otro Lado, Inc., a non-profit organization, where she represented indigent, detained asylum-seekers in immigration court, appeals, and federal litigation, and managed legal aspects of the Binational Family Unity Program. From 2018 – 2020, Ms. Novis worked with the UCLA School of Law Criminal Defense Clinic on several successful pardon applications before the Governor of California, securing protection from deportation and a path to U.S. citizenship for immigrant clients with past criminal convictions. Previously, Ms. Novis was an immigration paralegal at Van Der Hout LLP in San Francisco, CA, a law clerk for the Law Offices of Stacy Tolchin and the Law Offices of Anthony Pullara in Los Angeles, CA, and an extern for the Honorable Judge Chen of the Northern District of California. Sasha holds a B.A. from Stanford University and a J.D. from UCLA School of Law, with a specialization in Public Interest Law and Policy. She is fluent in Spanish.
